結束了，不過我的腦子好像還在放假...

The End of The 1st Year

Comp成績出爐，正式擺脫研究生菜鳥階段。不同於Off，我並沒有要把Jackson燒掉的衝動(除了那是BCC學長大方贈與的課本外，主要是因為要留下來虐待未來的學生XD)；不過把考古題拿來資源回收做環保是一定要的...

這疊是花了六週左右纏鬥的99年Fall~08年Fall考古題以及一年級課表。


外加個手機當比例尺。


橫拍才看得清楚厚度。


之前好像拍過的三主修作業(右)以及當Reader寫過的解答(左)。

這疊當然不會拿去做回收，因為要留著以後出作業用，哈哈！

Jenny今天寄信說Comp.延後三天，科科。

不過我的倒數計時器懶得改了說，就記得加三天就好啦～ 哈哈！

Being Stupid

標題是每週三會做的事XD。從一個月前開始，每週三會去參加Yarslov的group meeting，從前三回都覺得自己是整個房間最笨的人，到第四回的午餐+meeting，我發現我改變了！

這週開始，Yarslov接受建議，提前一小時讓大家一起吃飯閒聊，再回會議室繼續討論物理。在「閒聊」的過程中，他與Alex爭辯烏克蘭(不確定？！)的民主制度和文化、宗教的關係，我發現我不再感覺自己笨了！因為那一瞬間，我覺得我是一夥人英文最差的人(因為聽不懂，所以不會感到自己笨XD)。這天的主題是由Clement跟大家講他的題目，簡短地說是自旋動力學，目的是想計算不同磁區間(domain wall)的電流，這天的討論由LLG方程式(Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation)開始，然後扯到張量、拓墣學後，我就迷路了orz。今天剛好在TA center碰上Koji，他告訴我他的題目是跟量子霍爾效應(Quantum Hall Effct)有關，然後比手畫腳了一下拓墣學(Topology)與電荷量子化的關係；接著也告訴我他對Clement的題目的認識，然後又比手畫腳地說明拓墣與自旋量子化的關係XD。

我突然想起，為什麼我在發現自己是整個房間最蠢的人之後，感受到的不是失落、而是興奮；除了我感到不意外，問題不大、要自己穩住之外(咦？！)，因為我自信總有一天，會搞清楚他們在幹嘛！

簡單地說就是資格考，今天接到Jenny的通知，今年的考試提前了！

Physics Comprehensive Exam
Part 1: Thursday, 9/10 at 9-1pm
Part 2: Friday, 9/11 at 9-1pm

好像TA完就只剩一個禮拜可以衝刺了。

有沒有人知道怎樣弄個倒數計時器在網頁上啊？ 期中考玩來弄一下好了，這樣感覺比較有feel~
